Once again it was a joy to be on the beautiful Exbury Estate in the capable hands of Kevin Callan, who can always be relied upon to give us the very best of trials with copious amounts of fantastic birds shown.
I was really pleased to be there to support Sarah on her debut as Field Trial Secretary, and as ever the fantastic Arun & Downland commitee was out in force as part of her team.

The first drive produced enough birds to complete the first round and start the second, which saw enough birds down to test the dogs through second, third and fourth rounds.
The judges, Mike Knox, Judy Rainey, Dave Barnes and Steve Ashby tested the dogs and handlers and decided to take nine dogs through to the second day.

One drive again produced copiuos amounts of birds and was enough for the judges to reach their decision and the trial was over by early afternoon.
 There was some excellent dog work, excellent judging, a very happy atmosphere and a really successful trial was the result.

Our huge thanks as ever to Kevin and his wife Carolyn for their hosptality and support, and how blessed we were with the weather, the previous week was a complete wash out and we had two dry days.
